My name is Eribus, and I live in a world that does not exist, fight an enemy that is not here, alongside a team that is a figment of my imagination. In this world, the human way of life is dying. Humans are no longer the dominant species on our planet. Except that most people don't even know it.
I am tasked with keeping these truths hidden, and ensuring that people go on living their lives in blissful oblivion. I'm that guy that's authorised to take out any target — presidents, royalty, CEOs. Anyone that is tainted is fair game. I find the demon-hosts among us and destroy them.

Aea : Evil Lies Within is a story-driven RPG board game. The game is set in a world besieged by demons who possess human hosts and infiltrate our world. The players take control of members of an elite force charged with banishing or destroying these demons, restoring the host's life wherever possible. In Aea, players must hunt down suspected hosts, follow leads, research occult teachings, and clash with the demons they expose.
The game will feature simulated artificial intelligence, through the use of symbols that describe an enemy's behaviour in specific situations. Aea will also make heavy use of symbols for defining what actions can be taken in given situations, and what the minimum ability values are for performing those actions.
Players will be able to use the experience gained from quest completion to either improve the characters they favour, or to perform unusually heroic actions (or a combination of the two).
